What is the Oakland Beach Association (OBA)?

We are a non-profit  501(c)(3)community organization in the Village of Oakland Beach.

The association was established in 1959, to encourage residents participation in the betterment of our community for all. We sponsor social events, communicate with city officials on projects and concerns relevant to our community, provide plantings and maintenance to several areas, and stay informed on local legislation, and environmental concerns.

We understand that building community and fostering connections are essential for everyone here at Oakland Beach. Our aim is to create an environment where members feel welcome, supported, and valued.

We encourage all residents to engage with one another. Whether you attend a meeting, community event, join a committee, or simply strike up a conversation at the beach, every little interaction helps strengthen our ties.

Together we can create and maintain a welcoming spirit of Oakland Beach, and work together on the issues that are important to our community.

We meet the 2nd Thursday of every month at the First Congregational Church,  715 Oakland Beach Ave. (use side entrance). All residents of Oakland Beach are welcome, homeowners and renters alike. Please join us at our next meeting.
